Steps
to become a doctor:
The
very first step that you need to take is to pass the 12th exam with Physics,
Chemistry and Biology subjects. You must score 50% or more to meet the
eligibility criteria. Also, you should be at least 17 years of age.
The
next step is you should attend the all India based entrance exam, NEET.
Qualifying this test will offer you an all India ranking.
After
getting the rank in the entrance exam, you will have to face the counseling for
selection of the medical college from where you want to pursue the MBBS course.
You will get preference according to the rank position.
When
counseling is done, you can start your MBBS course from the college of your
choice. The MBBS course is in general 5 years of duration. The course includes
a one-year internship program and is mandatory.
On
completion of the course, the student has to undergo the house-staff ship
program. This makes a doctor with MBBS degree. After this, one can pursue
higher studies with a specialization in MD if he or she wants.
If
you are interested to become a doctor and want to get MBBS admission in Odisha, you
have to go through all the above-mentioned steps. The MBBS course includes
basic subjects like biochemistry, anatomy, microbiology, physiology, forensic
medicine, pathology and pharmacology in the beginning. The theoretical
knowledge along with hands-on training with real patients is an additional
benefit here. The students get an interactive session with in-ward and
out-patients directly under the supervision of their faculty. The course
curriculum includes standard protocols like taking patient history,
examination, diagnosis as well as patient management. Apart from all these
clinical cares, the students are also involved to experience ward management,
staff management, and counseling to prepare him or her for everything related
to medical care.
However,
the detailed course, subjects, and hands-on training are secondary here, as you
need to take admission to the MBBS course as the first stair. In the case of
MBBS admission, if you don’t feel comfortable with the entire process, you have
the option to consult a professional career consultant. Apart from the vast
knowledge of different subjects, understanding psychology and knowing about the
ins and outs of a good number of career courses, the professional guides have
another skill. They are trained to train and guide the students in their
educational careers. Also, most of the professional guides have several years
of hands-on experience to deal with the individual needs of different students.
Before gathering years of experience, they work under someone’s supervision.

admission in Odisha, and do not understand about the
process properly, get back to a reputed and affordable career consultant to
smoothen the process.
